Stepz was created in July 2023 by singer and entertainer Dan McInerney, owner of Mac Attack Entertainment, in the backyard of his home in Swansea, Massachusetts. Over the course of a few weeks, Dan repeatedly reworked the idea until a clear vision emerged and a prototype was built. After inviting his friends over to test it out, hours of non-stop gameplay revealed they had something truly special. Dan quickly brought in a small team—including his brother Sean and close friends Frank, Matt, and Joe—believing that their combined strengths, personalities, and support were the key to bringing the creation to life.

 

With no funding, limited free time, and only a modest budget, the Stepz crew worked tirelessly to perfect the game and apply for a patent. Sean and VP Frank took on the challenge of handcrafting the product using custom designs made with the finest American materials, drawing from their background as union workers. Before long, they gained the support of several local shops and companies excited to join this innovative project.

 

As a group of fun-loving, down-to-earth 30-year-old friends, the Stepz Bros were determined to represent their creation with bright colors, humor, and a bold sense of style. What started as a backyard idea quickly became a promising new yard game—and a symbol of what’s possible when passion meets persistence. Stepz is proof that with creativity, teamwork, and heart, you can achieve anything you put your mind to. And that’s the legacy Stepz LLC aims to leave behind.
